I have a not entirely undeserved reputation for being something of a
mediocre gardener.
I happily admit to being enthusiastic, but totally lacking in skill when it comes to horticulture of any kind. This
rosemary plant is a more typical example of what happens when I attempt
to grow my dream apartment garden.
We have a sunny window sill in our kitchen and fresh herbs are sometimes very difficult to find in Korea, so I am persisting in my efforts to grow something. I bought a bag of chilli seeds and planted them with very little expectation that any plant would actually result.
However, the little green shoots appeared. And grew, and grew. And after a little while, there even appeared some actual factual chillis!
We have so far hauled in a mighty harvest of five chillis. A little longer and I'll have grown enough to feed us through the long, cold winter. Well, perhaps not that, but I am somewhat pleased with my small success. I've even managed to get some lemongrass going...
